This policy explains how Advanced Caravan Buyers (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects your personal data when you contact us or use this website, and how we use cookies. We are a family-run business that buys caravans and motorhomes from private owners across England and Wales.

The information we collect
When you request a valuation or get in touch, we may collect:
- Your name and contact details (phone number, email address and, for free collection, your address and postcode).
- Details about the vehicle you want to sell (make, model, year, condition, mileage, service and finance history, and any photos you choose to send).
- The content of any messages you send us by phone, WhatsApp, email or through the site.
- Basic technical and usage information collected by cookies (see “Cookies” below).
We only ask for what we need to value your vehicle, arrange collection and pay you. We do not buy or sell personal data.
How and why we use it
- To provide a valuation and respond to your enquiry.
- To arrange free collection and make payment by bank transfer or cash.
- To keep records of the vehicles we buy and the payments we make, as required by law.
- With your consent, to understand how visitors use the website so we can improve it.
Our lawful bases are taking steps at your request to enter into a transaction, our legitimate interest in running the business responsibly, our legal obligations, and, for optional analytics cookies, your consent.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We share it only where necessary: with our website and SEO provider, Digital Five, who host and maintain this site; with the payment services we use to pay you; and where we are required to by law. Any provider acting on our behalf may only use your data for the purpose we give it to them.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry information only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry, and records of vehicles bought and payments made for as long as the law requires. After that we delete or anonymise it.
Cookies
When you first visit, a cookie banner lets you accept or decline optional cookies. Essential cookies needed to run the site and remember your choice are always on. With your consent we also use analytics cookies (Google Analytics) to see how the site is used, in aggregate, so we can improve it. You can change your choice at any time through the banner, and the interactive coverage map on the site loads mapping data from OpenStreetMap.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent for optional cookies at any time.
